GEEK EXPO 2.0

Hello, and welcome back to our site!

I’m Panda, founder and owner of Level Check Studios Ltd. It has been quite a long time since I last posted here, but I promised the organiser that I would promote this event a week in advance. While this may be slightly short notice, I wanted to make sure I shared it with you all.

Geek Expo 2.0 takes place on 29–30 August, and I’m genuinely looking forward to attending this year. I have been busy upgrading my equipment, so filming will be much easier and better than before. I will be attending with a film pass, so if you see me, please don’t be shy—come and say hello! I’m super friendly. I do have disabilities, but please do not let that put you off.

If you are in full cosplay and want to show off your aura, I would be happy to feature you in our cosplay showcase video, which will be posted on our YouTube channel.

Of course, I will always ask for your permission before filming you. If you do not want to be filmed, please let a staff member know so they can inform me. I will follow my own policies and checks to make sure you are not included in the video. Backgrounds will be blurred where possible, but mistakes can sometimes happen. If you notice that you have appeared in a video by mistake, please contact me by email or through our Discord group.

WHAT TO EXPECT AT THE SHOW!!

So, what can you expect at the show? There will be plenty to see and do!

Unlike last year, when the event was cancelled due to the extreme Cornish weather, the organisers have gone above and beyond to make this year’s event happen. It was originally planned for Stithians Showground, but it has now moved to Redruth School. Most of the event will be indoors, which is a huge bonus for an event of this calibre.

There are, of course, rules for vendors to follow, and I really hope the event runs smoothly. I want it to do well—not only for brand exposure, but also for the reputation of Geek Expo.

One of the new additions that really interests me is The Bushcraft Dude. If you are unfamiliar with bushcraft, it is all about wilderness survival skills, such as setting up a small camp and learning how to survive outdoors. It is very popular on YouTube, and I watch this kind of content myself from time to time, so I am excited to see those skills demonstrated live.

I am also looking forward to seeing Rising Sun TCG Ltd. As Level Check Studios also works with TCG products, I am sure I will enjoy speaking with them. Just be warned: as a trader myself, I will be bargaining for the best deal possible!

I also cannot wait to hear what The Lady Garden bring to the event. They will be performing steampunk music, which is a genre I am a big fan of.

And that is only part of the list. This feels like the biggest Geek Expo event so far. I would love to mention everyone attending, but there simply is not enough room—just expect it to be massive!
