Hello PGN Arcade! Panda here with another review — and this one really took me by surprise. I’ve played a lot of games over the years, but Everwind stood out the moment I started flying through its voxel world. It’s not just another survival crafting game — it’s something special. From the moment you step aboard your airship, you can tell this is a game built with care and passion.

A World Among the Clouds

Everwind mixes the creative freedom of Minecraft with the immersive exploration of Skyrim, all wrapped up in a beautiful skyfaring world. You could also compare it to New World in how it handles open-world discovery, but the big twist here is your airship — your lifeline, your home, and your greatest adventure all in one.

You can settle down on sky islands or ocean outposts, but I found myself loving the freedom of staying mobile. There’s something amazing about soaring from one floating island to the next, scavenging loot, fighting off skeletons, and shaping your own story. And if you’re a builder like me, you’ll be happy to know the possibilities are endless. You can design entire steampunk skyports, floating towns, or sprawling cities in the clouds.

Building with Voxels, Not Limits

For those unfamiliar with voxel games, Everwind’s world is made up of small 3D cubes — voxels — like digital LEGO bricks. They make the environment fully interactive and destructible, letting you mine, build, and reshape the world however you like. It’s the same system that made Minecraft legendary, but Everwind adds its own identity through atmosphere, design, and scale.

From Bohemia with Love

What really caught my attention is who’s behind it. Bohemia Interactive, the same studio that brought us Arma and DayZ, is publishing this game. That’s a big deal — Bohemia knows survival and open-world systems better than most studios out there.

The actual development is handled by Enjoy Studio S.A., a smaller but clearly passionate team that understands what makes these kinds of worlds fun to explore. With Bohemia’s support, I think they’re building something that could become the next big voxel hit.

The Demo: A Taste of Greatness

Now, let’s talk about the demo. It’s short, but it’s enough to give you a real taste of what Everwind has to offer. And honestly, I wish it was longer — this game is a loot goblin’s paradise.

(If you don’t know what a loot goblin is, it’s basically someone who can’t stop collecting items, even when they don’t need them. Guilty as charged.)

There’s just so much to grab and store. You’ll fill up your airship with chests before you even realize it. Every island tempts you with more loot, and before long you’ve got a floating treasure hoard that would make any goblin proud.

That said, there are limits in the demo. You can’t swim yet — which is strange, considering there are underwater caves — and the world isn’t infinite. There’s a sky limit, and I haven’t come across a desert biome even after nearly ten hours of play. But those are small issues that can be fixed as the game moves forward.

The good news is that combat already feels smooth and satisfying. It reminds me a lot of Skyrim — the way you level up your skills and improve your combat style over time. With a bit of practice, you can pull off some great fights, and it never feels clunky.

The Sound of the Sky

The music also deserves credit. It’s both relaxing and intense in all the right moments, whether you’re drifting peacefully through the clouds or battling waves of enemies. It really brings the world to life.

Early Access on the Horizon

The developers have said that early access is coming, and the community is already buzzing — almost 300,000 players have wish-listed Everwind on Steam. That alone shows how much potential people see in this game.

Everwind might still be in its early stages, but what’s already here is something special. It’s fun, beautiful, and packed with personality. With more biomes, mechanics, and a bit more polish, this could easily become one of the greats in the voxel genre.

Verdict

Final Score: 9/10
Everwind is the perfect game for builders, dreamers, and loot goblins — a sky-high adventure that’s only just getting started.
