Silent Hill F Review

The Silent Hill series will always be my favourite game out of everything, not just because of the horror but the story for each game. It always has a different character with there past tremor and their story itself. With the town becoming the monster itself for people that step into Silent Hill town, it surprises me with this one as it is set in the 60s and it’s not in the town itself but in Japan?.
Story
Silent hill f takes place in Japan and is set in the 60s. You play as Hinako Shimizu, A troubled girl with struggles in her life, soon overshadowed by a supernatural event that engulfs her hometown in a mysterious, monster-filled fog.
Along the way, you will encounter some crazy worlds and crazy monsters with that you are also been guided by a mysterious fox man, as well as being warned not to trust him.
So I will say the story is so crazy and different feel from all the other Silent Hill. There are some things in the story where i was wondering how we got here again, and times I think that I should not have done that.

Gameplay
Well i have to say the combat is ok from the other Silent Hill you are only bound to melee. Weapons do break, but around the town you can find repair stuff. The new feature they added in silent hill f is omamori you can equip them to give you stats, either in combat health or other things there are loads to get. Another thing is the save shrines some items you find can be sold there to as well spend them on new omamori or if you find Ema (little wooden plaques) you can use your points to upgrade your stats.

Another thing is the Sanity meter. You can perform a counter, but if you get hurt, you lose sanity
The open-world part is very basic. Compared to the other games with that massive open world, there was not much to adventure and half of the time it was a straight line
Puzzles
Now I love a good Silent Hill puzzle, but half of them don’t make any sense. There no satisfaction in these puzzles; there were just a few that were fun, but the rest were just really not that great.

Visuals and audio
The graphics were amazing and all the interaction was good. The monsters on this one were truly awesome.
The detail in some of the areas was very nice, from the other world to the town was really nice as well as some gruesome details they did, and I was shocked.

So i had a hard choice to make as there was a Japanese voice or English, but I had to pick the Japanese voice otherwise it would sound weird. Everything around the game, from that eerie feeling to that Horrid creature sound was great.
My Complaints
There were times when the game would just glitch like mad, and sometimes I had to change the settings.
Again, the puzzles were not enjoyable.
I liked the combat, but at the same time it got boring over time, having to have only 3 weapons to hold its a bit annoying but
it was not too bad.
The inventory I did not like from having an inventory menu was replaced by quick slots, and no key items to inspect very well.
Overall
This was a different approach to the Series. There is a connection with the Silent Hill series that for sure but if you are a true Silent Hill fan and know the lore, it will make sense.
The story was nuts, and compared to each protagonist in the series, this one was the most messed up.
However, if i have to say what’s the least silent hill game I would play out of them all is this because it felt like there were fewer things you had and there was not a huge place to explore.
But still, I enjoyed my time. This is perfect for anyone who has not started any silent hill games.
