The Horror at Highrook
On My CGN channel I played a demo of this game and was hooked. Now it’s been released, Let’s talk about it.
The horror at Highrook is a tabletop-like card game where you investigate a mansion of why a family has mysteriously disappeared. You and a group of people explore the mansion and uncover something that is out of this world.
IF YOU LOVE THAT HP LOVE CRAFT STUFF OR
if you like that occult card crafting narrative RPG or horror board games, this is for you.
Gameplay

So at the start you have this set of characters to uncover things. You need to set your characters in places that they can do with their set of skills, like cooking or solving codes or even researching in the archive.
you can also combine characters in other places to discover cards that can either benefit the investigation or even open new rooms. With that being said, you can craft items or craft tools and potions to help you on your way. Each room you need to look in has to have a character card and a task card some Sometimes the task cards require a support card in which you get either combining characters in different rooms or crafting them.
as you progress along the way you will also need to gather evidence by exploring rooms.
it has a day and night section, and there will be certain things that can stop you in your path. With that, you have vitals that if you don’t maintain things, it will get bad for the characters so you need to sleep, eat, heal and watch out for your madness.
When you get to later on in the game, that is permanent support cards for different rooms that you can upgrade to help you along the way.
On the bottom right, there is also a special card you will find. card pieces to unlock something crazy, but once you find the pieces you need to work out where they go, like I did to summon something creepy

Visurals and sound
I love the art style, and the sound is great. The music is also top-notch as well as the movement, which is great and brings that board game feel.
Overall
This game I have been waiting for blew it out of the park and was worth the cost and a very reasonable price.
The exploration is so much fun, and the combination to find new cards is amazing. Watching out for any crazy stuff in the mansion is a great feeling. I’ve been looking for a horror board game like this, and I hope to see more like this.
